I’m passionate about health and helping others achieve a healthy sustainable lifestyle. Before I discovered Banting I had done several fitness challenges, while the results were great the diet was not sustainable.
How have you personally benefited from Banting?
I’ve finally found a “diet” that makes my family happy. Yummy food, that has health benefits. I sleep well, wake up refreshed, have no afternoon slumps, and have more stamina when exercising.
Other interests and background info:
I’ve been in the complementary healing field since 1996 when I started practicing Life Alignment, which I still practice and teach. I love kettle bells, my morning session with my Flux family makes me happy. I’m most as peace away from it all, Lesotho is a favorite place to go. Most weekends are spent on the beach with my son.
I started my Banting journey on the 01 July, I was very confused about this “high fat” diet I had heard so much about, but being desperate to lose weight I thought this would be the best way of learning about it. My Banting Buddy, Merle, was so helpful! She gave me so many meal ideas and made me understand the technical side of Banting, which now makes so much sense! Surprisingly I even went from a hater of cooking to a Masterchef!!! I now love my kitchen as I love the food I’m eating! I honestly don’t think this would have been such an easy transition if it wasn’t for Merle and the Banting buddy course. My weekly weigh ins kept me in check, and I looked forward to finding out more recipes and info about Banting. I lost weight, cm’s, became a cook and gained a friend 🙂
