Why you became a Banting Buddies weight loss coach?
My passion is to equip people of all ages, races and class to reach their full potential and live a healthy life. I believe in educating clients to empower them to make the right food choices and enjoy the best quality food available. I want to support clients in a plan for sustainable weight loss and a good understanding of nutrition for improved health.
How have you personally benefited from Banting?
My husband lost 9 kg and I lost 6 kg, still a few to go… We feel great and have a lot more energy! No more cravings for the quick fix!
I started a business where I can support other people to succeed in weight loss and understand nutrition that will lead to optimal health.

Other interests and background info:
I completed my formal studies at the University of Stellenbosch where I obtained a “Baccalaureus degree in Consumer Sciences HED” in 1989 and received my Honors degree in 1994. I believe this is the ideal background for my career in the Food Industry. I managed my own food related businesses for 25 years.
In 2014 I furthered my education and finished a Diploma of Nutritional Products Information. Two years later in 2016 I finished my second International diploma from Australia in Clinical Nutrition. My skills and experience as a Food Quality Controller at Libertas Meat, is of value to the understanding of food and nutrition. I was also the Operational Manager at a Function Venue and restaurant for 7 years. For 8 years, from 2005 until 2013, I was the CEO of Divine Foods in Stellenbosch, a health deli and coffee shop.
We moved to Namibia in 2014 where I finished the LCHF and the Banting Coaches course. Since 2014 I worked with doctors in Namibia, who refer their patients to me with obesity, diabetes, high cholesterol, gut issues and other chronic diseases, related to food and bad lifestyle choices.
I am an active member, presenting the consumer, of the “Namibian Organic Association” (NOA) and since 2015 also a member of the Namibian Chef Association (NCA), where I judge Chef Competitions etc.
My passion is to prepare natural, nutritious, flavoursome and tasty food. My motto in life is to use ingredients in food that have been carefully grown. The food must be honest, simple and homemade. “If you can’t make it at home, don’t eat it!” – Sanet Brundyn
My business made provision for individuals with unique dietary needs. I support local farmers and producers and I use food that is organically grown and at its very freshest and seasonal best.
My interest in nutrition started 18 years ago and I liaise with other role players in the industry and continue to enrich my knowledge of food, as food and health issues are constantly changing.
