Why you became a Banting Buddies weight loss coach?

I’m passionate about health and helping others achieve a healthy sustainable lifestyle.  Before I discovered Banting I had done several fitness challenges, while the results were great the diet was not sustainable.

How have you personally benefited from Banting?

I’ve finally found a “diet” that makes my family happy.  Yummy food, that has health benefits.  I sleep well, wake up refreshed, have no afternoon slumps, and have more stamina when exercising.

Other interests and background info:

I’ve been in the complementary healing field since 1996 when I started practicing Life Alignment, which I still practice and teach.

In June 2015 I started running online support groups, I’ve met many wonderful people and have had amazing results both with clients weight loss and health.  A new group starts on the first of every month.

I’ve also written a book with Sally-Ann Creed, The Low Carb Creed, which is to be released in September 2016.  Since 2015 I’ve had the pleasure of training the new Buddies in the practical application of coaching.

I love kettle bells, my morning session with my Flux family makes me happy.  I’m most as peace away from it all, Lesotho is a favorite place to go.  Most weekends are spent on the beach with my son.

I started my Banting journey on the 01 July, I was very confused about this “high fat” diet I had heard so much about, but being desperate to lose weight I thought this would be the best way of learning about it. My Banting Buddy, Merle, was so helpful! She gave me so many meal ideas and made me understand the technical side of Banting, which now makes so much sense! Surprisingly I even went from a hater of cooking to a Masterchef!!! I now love my kitchen as I love the food I’m eating! Merle Cutten Westcott is an inspiration to us all. Without her guidance, support and motivation I would not be where I am today. Only another 1.5kg’s and my second goal would be reached. Slowly I am getting there and I cannot wait to share this milestone with you all. The Operations Manager thanked me today for sharing my new way of lifestyle with fellow workers. Most of my colleagues are men and 4 decided to join me lunch times preparing fresh healthy meals at work. Two of my colleagues already lost about 7kg’s in a few weeks. I am part of the June group and I must be honest….I was a bit hesitant. I thought so much money…for what? A bit of advice? Checking on my weight? I can surely do that on my own? But I was sooo wrong!
